Wix

Connect Wix and publish live Blog posts or CMS collection items.

Wix is a live publish path. After connect, choose Wix Blog or a native CMS collection.

What you need

  • Public site URL
  • Wix site ID (dashboard URL after /dashboard/)
  • Account API key (site-owner credentials, not a third-party Wix App OAuth install)

Grant the key Wix Blog and/or CMS Data, plus Media Manager if you need covers.

Connect

  1. Open CMS.
  2. Choose Wix.
  3. Enter site URL, site ID, and API key.
  4. Click Verify.
  5. Choose Blog (if the Blog app is installed) or a CMS collection.
  6. For Blog, pick a post owner (member) — required before generate/schedules unlock — then optionally categories and tags.
  7. For a collection, map fields from the live schema. Collections with a draft plugin insert into {id}__drafts then publish-draft.

What publishes

  • Blog — draft post with Ricos richContent (publish: true), then publish. HTML is converted to Ricos; conversion failure does not post an empty body. Covers import through Wix Media, not a raw HTTPS URL.
  • CMS collection — insert into Data Collections v2. App system collections (Stores Products, etc.) are hidden.

Gaps

  • HTML → Ricos is a Jeenie conversion; complex embeds may not survive.
  • Blog app must be installed for the Blog target.
  • Blog publish requires memberId. Until a post owner is saved, the connection is not publish-ready (same gate as Shopify without a blog).
  • Draft vs live for collections depends on the collection’s draft plugin.
