Framer

Connect Framer and publish live unmanaged CMS items (Server API).

Framer is a live publish path using the official Server API (framer-api, open beta). There is no REST CMS API — Jeenie opens a WebSocket, adds an item, then publishes and deploys the whole site.

What you need

  • Published site URL (public hostname)
  • Framer project URL or project id
  • API key from Site Settings → General → API Keys

Connect

  1. Open CMS.
  2. Choose Framer (do not paste a Framer URL into the WordPress form).
  3. Enter the public site URL, project URL/id, and API key.
  4. Click Verify.
  5. Choose an unmanaged CMS collection. Plugin-managed collections are not offered unless you explicitly opt into creating one in Framer itself.
  6. Optionally map fields by field id (formattedText accepts HTML).

What publishes

  1. connect(projectUrl, apiKey)
  2. Resolve the collection and fields
  3. collection.addItems with fieldData keyed by field id
  4. framer.publish() then framer.deploy(deployment.id) so the URL is live

Gaps

  • Server API is beta.
  • Deploy publishes the whole site, not a single CMS item.
  • Image/file fields need a usable asset URL; collectionReference needs existing related items (same class of error as Webflow).
  • Publish fails if Framer is in a state that blocks deploy.

See Platform limitations.
